Kevin Huerter off to strong start with Sacramento Kings

Former Maryland men’s basketball player Kevin Huerter is off to a strong start with the Sacramento Kings. He is averaging 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game and has averaged at least 20 points in his last three consecutive games.

Another former Maryland player, Jaylon Smith, is also having a solid season. He is averaging 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Indiana Pacers.

Kevin Huerter off to strong start with Sacramento Kings

Aaron Wiggins, Alex Lane and Bruno Fernando, three former University of Maryland players, are not having good seasons. Wiggins is averaging 4.5 points per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Lane is averaging less than seven minutes per game for the Kings and Fernando has only made three appearances for the Atlanta Hawks this season.

Maryland Women’s Basketball Falls to No. 23 Washington State

The Maryland women’s basketball team fell to No. 23 Washington State, 87-67. It was the third loss of the season for the Terps, who have led by at least 20 points in all three losses.
