The Polish Festival in Tauranga, New Zealand, is celebrating the 151st anniversary of the arrival of the first Poles in New Zealand. Organized by the Polish Community Trust, the main aim of the event is to promote Polish culture and to inform the people of Tauranga about the Polish community.
The festival will feature a variety of activities including photography, music and the movie All Together. The event will be held on Saturday, November 4 at Manawaroa Hall on the first floor of the University of Waikato.
The Polish Community Trust also organizes other events throughout the year such as concerts, art exhibitions and photography exhibitions. The Trust also runs a kindergarten for Polish children and children from other cultures.
Tauranga’s Polish community is growing and the Polish Festival is a great opportunity to learn about Polish culture and celebrate the Polish presence in New Zealand.
