Adam Silver, the NBA commissioner, is fueling optimism among basketball enthusiasts regarding the potential return of the world’s premier league to Germany. In an interview with “Ran,” he expressed, “We would be delighted to make a comeback. Europe, and particularly Germany, hold immense significance for us.” He also credited the recent victory of the German team in the World Cup a few months ago as a significant factor in this perspective.

Germany also has “a strong economy, strong interest and a strong sports tradition,” Silver said. Because of the Corona pandemic, however, there has been “a bit of a setback in terms of some of our international travel.”

“So we’ve now reset our plans and are taking another look at many of those markets,” Silver continued.
